SEI-ELA

I have been teaching in BPS for over 10 years - serving the population dearest to my heart. As a child of West African immigrants and a mother of three beautiful black children, I strive to empower those who often are overlooked and marginalized. I currently teach ELA in TBA’s SEI cluster.

Ms. Jean-Pierre has been teaching SLIFE for the Haitian newcomers for over 10 years. She earned a Masters degree in Education from Boston University. As a Haitian-American BPS graduate who lives in Boston, she is proud to serve her community as a teacher. During her summers, she enjoys traveling to Haiti to run her academic, leadership program (ETE Camp) for youth living there.

Ms. S lives in Roslindale with her husband and two teenage daughters. She has taught ELA and French in Chicago and ESL in Albania and Boston. Her happy place is hiking in the woods.

Mr. Sherred grew up in Erie, PA and came to Boston to attend Tufts University in 1990. Since then Boston has been home. Mr. Sherred's whole family (Mom, Dad, Sister, Grandfather, and several cousins) taught in public schools. After building a career in the restaurant business, Mr. Sherred went back to Tufts in 2006 to earn his MAT and join the family business. Mr. Sherred has been teaching at TechBoston since 2007

Mrs. Wilkins is a proud BPS grad. She graduated from Smith College with her Bachelor of Science and received her Masters in Education from Boston University. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, meditating, and listening to inspirational music i.e. gospel, jazz, and rhythm & blues. She strives to help her students reach their highest potential and pursue their post-graduate goals through support and encouragement.

Ms. Wobbe LOVES languages. She has studied 6 different languages and is excited to help her students learn English at TechBoston as she expands her own Haitian Creole proficiency with their help. She received her Masters degree in Education from University of Massachusetts Boston.
